dc.description.abstract | In accordance with the terms of the project, the implementation of the principles for good governance in eight public sports organisations of Ukraine was studied: six of which are federations representing track and field athletics, football, handball, swimming, tennis, billiards, and two are umbrella organisations responsible for the development of certain sports (NOC – Olympic sport, Sport Committee of Ukraine – non-Olympic sport). The principle of samples balance was observed: Three organisations are small in size, three are medium, and two are large. A standardised NSGO methodology was used in this study. Data collection took place from August to September 2020. All federations, except the Swimming Federation of Ukraine (SFU), kindly cooperated with the project team. The SFU refused to provide any data related to the application of good governance principles. Relevant data on the performance of SFU were collected from public sources. | uk_UA |
