dc.description.abstract | Esports is the fastest growing sport discipline in the world. The beginning of its history is considered to be 1997 when Cyberathlete Professional League was created, which in those years held tournaments on Quake. And, while top-tier e-sportsmen’s fees are far less than the champions’ fees in traditional sports, 30 years after CPL was founded, Esports has grown into a billion-dollar dynamic market and tens of millions of tournament funds.Esports is recognized as a sport in the PRC, South Korea, USA, France, Germany, India, Denmark, Sweden and other countries. In China and Sweden, Esports lessons are introduced into the school curriculum. | uk_UA |
