Introduction. Given the steady decline in physical activity among all categories of Ukrainian citizens, due to quarantine restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, there is a threatening trend of declining levels of their physical health. In the last period of time, the world has undergone significant changes, namely the emergence of the Covid-19 virus, which has altered human life. During the pandemic Covid-19, fitness is essential in
preventing physical and mental health problems among schoolchildren. This requires the development of preventive measures aimed at increasing the body's resistance to disease. Material and methods. The study was conducted on the basis of the Municipal Institution in the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv Regional Center for Local Lore, Excursions and Tourism of Student Youth”. 51 students participated in the experiment, including 32
boys and 19 girls aged 15. Drawing on their health condition, they were allocated to main medical group. The group of experts included 27 qualified specialists familiar with the issues of children's and youth tourism and physical education. The following methods were used during the research: study, systematization and generalization of literature and best pedagogical experience, expert assessment method, anthropometric, physiological research methods, pedagogical testing, Framingham method of motor activity assessment, methods of mathematical statistics. Results. Among the programmes aimed at high school students, their health and recreation in the framework of out-of-school educational institutions, comprehensive programmes that include lessons of theoretical and practical nature are the most effective. Thus, we offered the programme based on
walking tourism. It was aimed at high school students and was introduced within the framework of the out-ofschool educational institutions of tourism and local lore. The study proves the changes in the daily activities of adolescents regardless of gender. Comparing to the beginning of the experiment in the structure of their daily motor activity the time spent on a sedentary level has significantly (p<0.05) decreased at the end of the
experiemnt. In addition, in all groups the volume of motor activity of medium and high levels statistically (p<0.05) increased. There were positive changes in the indicators of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, indicators of physical health and fitness. Conclusions. The obtained results testify to the effectiveness of the proposed programme of lessons based on walking tourism with 15-year-old students within the framework of
out-of-school educational institutions of tourism and local lore. Therefore, the proposed programme should be included in the organizational and methodological support of health and recreational activities in educational institutions as a part of extracurricular activities focused on tourism and local lore.

The article presents a comparative analysis of the main components of the physical condition of military personnel with different physical fitness levels. The 170 soldiers with an average age of 19.6 years took part in the study. The study was aimed at identifying the structure of the relationships among morphological status, cardiovascular function and the most important physical abilities. The following methods were used: anthropometric; physiological, pedagogical, and mathematical statistics. Results. The analysis of the main
parameters of physical development indicated statistically significant difference (p<0.05; p<0.01) between the studied groups of soldiers with different physical fitness levels. The group with a high level of physical fitness had significantly higher values of body height, chest circumference, and right/left hand grip strength (p<0.01), while having a lower body weight (p<0.05). The analysis of the average values of five skinfold measurements
and their sum indicated statistically significant difference between the groups with different physical fitness levels (p<0.05; p<0.01). The group of soldiers with a low level of physical fitness had higher (p<0.01) values of five skinfold measurements and their sum. The obtained average group values of body composition indicate a statistically significant difference (p<0.05; p<0.01) in the muscle and fat components, and basal metabolism
between the groups with different levels of physical fitness. Analysis of the average group values of soldiers with high and medium levels of physical fitness showed the optimal function of the cardiovascular system and a well-developed system of external respiration. The correlation analysis revealed a large number of high direct and inverse relations with r from 0.172 at p <0.05 to 0.662 at p <0.001 between morphofunctional status and
major physical abilities of soldiers. Also, we found that 3000m run results (endurance) directly depends on the body height, vital capacity, saturation, and the leg muscle mass (r = 0.167; r = 0.168; r = 0.169; r = 0.217 at p<0.05). Furthermore, inverse relations were found between these parameters and fat component (r from -0.164 to -0.338 at p <0.05; p <0.01; p <0.001). We found that the effectiveness of strength test exercises was the most
influenced by the body measurements and muscle component, as well as a strong inverse relation was found between the fat component and exercise effectiveness.

The study was aimed at assessing the quality of active family leisure and identifying motivations for and interests in health-enhancing and recreational physical activity of parents and children. Materials and methods. The study involved 106 families. A set of generally accepted research methods was used including theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature as well as domestic and international practical experience related to family leisure; sociological methods (questionnaire surveys), and mathematical statistics methods. Results. The questionnaire survey provided an opportunity to identify priority areas of joint physical activity of children and parents and to assess the quality of family well-being and active family leisure. The attitude of parents to winter types of recreation in the organization of active leisure was identified. According to the survey data, 9.4% of the families had a high level, 59.4% had an average level, 30.3% had a satisfactory level, and 0.9% had an unsatisfactory level of family well-being. The vast majority of respondents (45.2%) believed that their family members had a satisfactory level of physical activity, 40.6% of families reported they had an average level, only 10.4% indicated they had a high level, and 3.8% said they had an unsatisfactory level. Among the surveyed families, 63.2% indicated an average level of satisfaction with family leisure, 29.2% rated their leisure as satisfactory, and the remaining 3.8% indicated an excellent or unsatisfactory level.Conclusions. The focus was on identifying prevailing motivations, which contribute to the optimization of the family leisure process and the degree of activity when using recreational technologies. The obtained results indicate a significant potential for expanding physical activity of families with children, including through the use of winter recreation.

Study purpose. The purpose of the study was to assess the correlation between the level of health-improving and recreational physical activity and family well-being.
Materials and methods. Theoretical analysis of data from special scientific and methodological literature, generalization, systematization, sociological methods, and mathematical statistics. A research among parents was conducted using online surveying through completing an online questionnaire created with Google Forms. The study
involved 106 married couples. The average age of the respondents was 35.1±4.2 years. The vast majority of the studied families (95.1%) had up to two children (preschool and school age). Results. The respondents were divided into two clusters according to their level of motor activity. Cluster 1 included families with a low level of physical activity, and cluster 2 included those with an average level of physical activity. Depending on the level of physical activity, statistically significant (p < 0.05) differences were found between the
families in terms of the following parameters: motivations for engaging in active leisure, amount of leisure time, level of knowledge and skills in organizing active leisure, reasons preventing participation in active leisure, etc. The families differed significantly (p < 0.05) in 23 categorical parameters. It was found that the families with different
levels of physical activity did not differ in their desire to engage in winter recreational activities. Reasons preventing participation in health-enhancing and recreational physical activity programs were identified. A comparative analysis of the current state of family well-being revealed statistically significant (p < 0.05) differences in all studied parameters between the families with different levels of physical activity, i.e. the families with a proper level of physical activity had higher scores of satisfaction, well-being, and quality of life. Low indicators of family well-being indicated the rationale for such families to engage in active recreation and increase their level of health-enhancing and recreational physical activity. Conclusions. A relationship was identified between the level of health-enhancing and recreational physical activity and indicators of satisfaction, family well-being, and quality of life/
