Розлади адаптаційних реакцій у дітей шкільного віку з надмірною вагою та ожирінням під час впровадження карантинних заходів у зв’язку з пандемією Covid-19

Abstract

We studied anxiety and depression disorders in school-age children with overweight/obesity and normal body weight during the lockdown. It was found that the level of anxiety and depression in children with overweight/obesity was higher on 7.3% (p <0.01) than children with normal body weight. Among school-age children with normal body weight the proportion of children with mental health problems was 12.3 ± 1.4%, and among school-age children with overweight/obesity was 21.0 ± 3.4% (p <0.01). The probability of anxiety disorders of girls with overweight/obesity was 2.8 times higher (p <0.05) than boys and the probability of depression disorders was 4.1 times higher (p <0.001). It was determined that an increase the physical activity during the lockdown had a positive effect on the mental health of children and adolescents.
